01Who we are

02What the extension reads

When you click its icon or use its keyboard shortcut, the extension reads the form in the tab on screen, labels, field types and constraints, list options, to know what to write. It reads nothing in your other tabs, and nothing without your action.

If you turn on “live follow-up” or “automatic re-analysis”, it keeps watching that same tab for the duration you choose (from one minute to one hour), to handle fields that appear, then stops.

03What it stores, and where

Only what it needs to work, and only on your device, in the storage the browser reserves for the extension:

• your per-form settings (skipped fields, forced values, chosen options);
• the address (domain and path) of the pages where you used it, used to find those settings again;
• the values and custom fields you declare, and the datasets you import;
• what it learned when you asked it to “Learn” a form;
• the selector memory of the screens you analysed;
• the fill history: date, form, values written and their result;
• a diagnostics log of failed writes, never your values.

04What it transmits

Nothing. No data is sent, to us or to anyone: no account, no sync, no usage statistics, no automatic error report, no advertising. The extension contains no networking code and downloads no code after installation. It works identically without an internet connection.

05The files you create

Only you decide to create files: exports (CSV, Excel, JSON, test scripts) and the full backup, written to the folder you choose. These files remain under your control. If that folder is synced by a service of your choice, that service's rules apply to it.

The “copy” button writes a selector to your clipboard, at your request. The extension never reads your clipboard.

06Retention and deletion

Data stays on your device until you erase it. In the extension, “Settings → All memory, by address” shows and erases everything that is kept; the history is cleared by date. Uninstalling the extension deletes all of its storage. Your backup and export files are not affected.

07Sharing, sale, limited use

We do not sell, rent or share any data: we receive none. What the extension reads serves a single purpose, analysing and filling the form you show it. Verifill's use of data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

08The verifill.net website

The site uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps technical logs (IP address, date, page requested) to run and protect the service. Fonts are served by Google Fonts: your browser downloads them from Google, which therefore receives your IP address.

The contact form transmits what you write in it (your name, your company if you give one, your email address, the subject and your message) to our contact address, through our sending provider. This information is used only to reply to you; it is neither sold nor used to solicit you. If direct sending fails, the page simply opens your mail app with the message already written. The try-it page transmits nothing: its check runs inside your browser.

09If you write to us

Your address and message are used only to reply to you. They are not sold, used for marketing or passed on, and are deleted on request.

10Your rights

You can erase all of the extension's data yourself, at any time. For anything you sent us by email, access, correction, deletion, write to contact@verifill.net.

11Changes

This policy follows the product. The date at the top of the page applies; any significant change will be announced in the extension's release notes.
